Yerma

10th October – 3rd November 2024
Lyric Theatre, Belfast,

Part of Belfast International Arts Festival.

A wild reimagining of Lorca’s tragedy, Yerma is set at a family-run hotel in the Cooley Mountains during a chaotic christening.
Under the guise of celebration, tensions simmer and secrets boil over. Caught in the eye of the storm is Yerma, a woman desperate for a child,
her longing turning surreal, explosive, and hauntingly lyrical.
