Open Call: Incubate Network 2.0
Open call to Theatre Makers
Incubate Maker's Network in partnership with the MAC
We are inviting a small cohort of theatre-makers and theatre-artists to join us for Incubate.
Building on the success of our original Incubate Network, this new group of artists will join Tinderbox for one year to be supported, challenged and creatively nourished. Across the 9 month period, we will provide workshops, guidance and training and opportunity to develop work and ideas for sharing to audiences. In Spring 2025 we will produce the Incubate Festival at the MAC, and the work of the Incubate Artists will be a part of it.
Tinderbox will support the Incubate artists to create a peer-led theatre-makers network, who will then provide additional dramaturgy, producing support, and connection.
We are seeking submissions from people who define themselves as ‘theatre-makers’. By that, we mean theatre artists who are interested in questioning the status-quo of how theatre is presented, programmed and produced in Northern Ireland and further afield.
We’re interested in people who are interested in community. We want to work with people who have a drive and ambition to create their own work; but who need support to make it happen, and who want to support their peers too, to create a vibrant new theatre ecology in Belfast.
Please note: This is not a commissioning or programming opportunity; we are not looking for fully completed scripts.
This year we are working in partnership with the MAC to deliver the network; therefore we are very pleased to say that most of the meetings and training will take place at the MAC.
